Produced in the 3rd National Postal Meter block between November 1943 and June 1944. Underwood barrel dated "11-43" with "SN" marked fabricated front sight and "N-A" flip rear sight. Internals include "N / 9" marked trigger housing, "HI" hammer, "SN" push button safety, "SN" magazine catch, blued "N / 14" flat bolt, and "UN" slide. High wood stock marked in the sling well "TRIMBLE / TN" and on the right with a "NPM / FJA" inspection cartouche and crossed cannons. 2-rivet top wood retained by a "UI" type II barrel band. Complete with an olive sling and "AVERY 1943" ink stamped stock magazine pouch. No visible import markings. CONDITION: Very Good. Carbine retains the vast majority of its factory finishes with mild wear and fading. Stocks have some scattered impressions and nicks, markings remaining legible. Crisp, bright bore. ME of 1.5. Fine mechanics. A very nice correct carbine.
