Likely assembled into a carbine by Navy Arms, this example is built on an original small ring Mauser C96 action, likely imported from China. It is fitted with a 16" barrel with tall blade front sight and standard 1000 meter tangent rear. The action also modified at the grip into a push button take-down which attaches to a pistol grip hardwood stock with serrated butt. A wood forend and sling swivels were also affixed. Matching numbers observed on both sections of the frame. CONDITION: Excellent as professionally converted. Nearly all of the blued finish is retained throughout with light handling marks, as was professionally reapplied at the time of conversion. Some pitting present under the finish, Mauser markings somewhat softened. Stocks have light impressions throughout. Bright mirror bore with a few minor imperfections. Fine mechanics.
