Manufactured as part of the 4th Inland block, circa August through November 1944. Fitted with an un-dated Inland barrel, protected blade front sight, and "PI" adjustable rear sight. Internals include Inland trigger group, "I-I" hammer, "HI" magazine catch, push button safety, "IO" blued round bolt, and "PI" charging handle. Walnut low wood stock marked "IO" in the sling well and with large crossed cannons on the right. Unmarked 2-rivet top wood retained by a type II band, the retaining screw is an incorrect replacement. Lot includes 3 total 15-round magazines, a contemporary 30-round magazine, web sling, and salty belt style magazine pouch. CONDITION: Very Good. Carbine retains the majority of its reapplied parkerized finish. Stocks appear lightly cleaned and re-oiled with scattered marks. Very good, crisp bore. ME less than 2. Fine mechanics. A nice, nearly all correct configuration M1 carbine.
