Smith & Wesson Model 76 machine gun with “U” prefix serial number. One as-new-in-original-factory-marked-wrapper 36 round S&W magazine is included. This civilian and law enforcement production gun falls within the period of 1967 through 1974. All original factory Smith & Wesson Model 76 machine guns are Curio & Relic eligible. This makes them an ideal choice of a submachine gun for Curio & Relic license holders who want to acquire them across state lines. As with all Smith & Wesson guns, these guns exhibit the highest standards of fit and finish. Features include selective fire, an ambidextrous safety/selector, and the ability to be very compact with a swing-out rubber covered shoulder loop. Electronic NFA registry indicates “SMITH AND WESSON” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original matte blue finish with near excellent furnishings. Only slight loss of finish where the selector rotates. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face also near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. This would make an excellent entry level machine gun, and this specimen is in particularly nice condition. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2024-12-25.
