These rifles were manufactured in Beijing for commercial export to the United States. Classic AK pattern silhouette with protected post front sight, deep U notch rear sight with sliding elevator graduated between 1-8, and typical legends throughout, including model designations and KFS import mark on bottom of receiver. Matching serial numbers observed on trunnion, piston, and bolt carrier. Red bakelite furniture including handguard and gas tube cover, pistol grip, and stock scales; stock is also the highly desirable sidefolding variant. In the original cream colored PolyTech/ PTK International box with sling, oil bottle, manual, allen key, and three magazines, still sealed in their plastic. Box with handwritten "PS87-762-0101" on end flap, matching gun. CONDITION: Outstanding, as close to NOS as possible, with some extremely minor handling marks, likely from shop wear. Line between selector positions has not broken through the bluing, mechanically fine, bore excellent with bright, strong rifling. Breech face is very clean, and this rifle may not have been fired since it left the factory. Box excellent with some fraying to edges and some typical age related distress, but solid and whole. A real time capsule that would be borderline impossible to improve on without a time machine.
