Manufactured circa early 1990s on an imported Brazilian Imbel receiver imported by Springfield Armory. It appears this rifle has been restored to full military configuration with bayonet lug muzzle brake and pre-ban style furniture. Upper assembly marked on the left "SAR-4800 / 7.62mm SA-14993 / SPORTER" and on the right with the Springfield Armory address. Left side of the lower stamped "1005-SA-48-MATCH" along with the Springfield crossed cannons logo. Finished in full matte black this example was built with L1A1 parts and features a protected blade front sight, adjustable aperture rear. folding charging handle, carry handle, and pebble textured black polymer furniture. Rifle is also mounted with a surplus Trilux L2A2 SUIT optic. 1 metric pattern magazine is included. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains the vast majority of its enamel finish with handling marks throughout, some shell case dings on the left, and some other scuffing on the upper assembly. Furniture has some mild scuffs and scrapes but rates very good. Strong bore with evidence of use. Fine mechanics. Optic is clear but is no longer illuminated.
