Manufactured in 1944, the rough forged receiver marked on the milled flat with eagle over "214" waffenampt, "G.43" designation, and "duv 44." manufacturer code. Full, expertly reapplied blued finish. Hooded blade front sight and tangent rear. Laminate stock and handguard with matte gray finished cupped butt plate without tool trap. Rifle currently sports a wartime ddx code ZF4 scope on a eagle over "214" marked base, the rings appear to be modern replacements. Rifle also includes a reproduction sling. CONDITION: Fine. Rifle retains virtually all of its expertly reapplied blue. Butt plate has some minor finish flaking. Stocks have been cleaned with a repaired split at the wrist. Strong, bright bore. Fine mechanics. Scope and base retain portions of faded original finish, some freckling visible on base. Optic has clouded with age.
