Part of the second block of production (3,212,520-3,250,019) assembled by Saginaw during the Spring of 1943 after taking over the Irwin-Pedersen contract. Only the first 8,000 of these guns, including this example, utilized Irwin-Pedersen receivers before switching to Saginaw production. Carbine is fitted with a "6 43" dated Underwood barrel with "N" marked milled front sight and "J.A.O." adjustable rear. Rebuilt internals include an "IP" trigger group, "U" hammer, flip type safety, M2 magazine catch, "PI" slide, and "IO" flat bolt. Walnut low wood stock marked in the sling well "RSG" with a "AAU" rebuild stamp on the left flat. 2-rivet top wood marked on the underside "U" and in script "Pedersen". Bayonet lug barrel band marked "AMCO". Carbine includes "IS" oiler and nylon sling. SAMCO import marked on the underside of the barrel discreetly underneath of the bayonet lug. CONDITION: Good as rebuilt. Carbine retains the vast majority of its arsenal parkerized finish with moderate high edge and muzzle wear. Stocks have been cleaned with scattered dings and nicks.
