Receiver originally manufactured in August 1942 and subsequently updated into M1D configuration. Fitted with a "1-52" dated Springfield barrel without visible drawing number, as is appropriate for M1D barrels. Post-War sights and M2 cone flash hider. Rifle is also mounted with a M84 scope serial number "10892" with sunshade and rubber eye piece on quick detach mount. Rebuilt internals. Walnut stocks faintly marked on the left flat with "SA / GAW" cartouche and crossed cannons. Complete with web sling and "MRT / 2 52" stamped leather cheek riser. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains the vast majority of its dark arsenal parkerized finish with some mild wear and handling marks. Stocks are good with dings and nicks. ME of 2. TE of 4. Fine mechanics.
