Receiver originally manufactured in circa May 1944 and subsequently updated into M1D configuration. Fitted with a "3-52" dated Springfield barrel without visible drawing number, as is appropriate for M1D barrels. Post-War sights and M2 cone flash hider. Rifle is also is mounted with a M84 scope serial number "17271" with sunshade and rubber eye piece on quick detach mount. Rebuilt internals. Walnut stocks with web sling and "MRT / 2 52" stamped leather cheek riser. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains nearly all of its dark arsenal parkerized finish with some high edge silvering and handling. Stocks are good with dings and nicks. Very good bore. ME reads under 2. TE of 2. Fine mechanics.
