Manufactured in May 1944. "4-44" dated Springfield barrel with protected blade front sight and locking bar rear. Internals include November 1943 "D28287-12SA / S-B7" bolt, 1942/1943 "D35382 6 SA" unrelieved op rod, 1942-1944 "D28290-12-SA" trigger housing, 1943/1944 "C46008-5 SA" hammer, and milled trigger guard. Walnut stocks with boxed "SA / GAW" inspection and crossed cannon. Included 2000 dated CMP paperwork indicates this rifle was Danish issue. It appears largely to have been returned to WWII configuration. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains the vast majority of its arsenal parkerized finishes. Stock is lightly cleaned, inspections somewhat faint but largely legible. Scattered light handling marks throughout. Strong, bright bore with some light frosting. ME just over 2. TE of 2. Fine mechanics.
