Produced from 1957 through 1978, the 1949-56 served as the main battle rifle of France until the adoption of the FAMAS assault rifle. This example remains in classic military configuration with gray phosphate finish, perforated grenade launcher muzzle brake, flip up grenade launcher sights, protected post front sight, adjustable aperture rear, and 3-piece finger groove beech stocks. Import marked on the left side of the receiver. CONDITION: Very good overall. Rifle retains the vast majority of its arsenal finish with some high edge wear. Stocks have a few dings and mild wear but rate very good. Worn, frosted bore with visible rifling. Fine mechanics.
