Receiver originally manufactured in December 1943 and subsequently updated into M1D configuration. Fitted with a "1-52" dated Springfield barrel without visible drawing number, as is appropriate for M1D barrels. Post-War sights. Rebuilt internals. Rifle is mounted with a M84 scope serial number "17943" with sunshade and rubber eye piece on quick detach mount. Standard walnut stocks. Complete with web sling and "MRT / 2 52" stamped leather cheek riser. Back of receiver is affixed with a faded foreign property sticker, likely Danish. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains the vast majority of its dark arsenal parkerized finish with some mild wear and handling. Stocks are good with dings and nicks. Crisp bore. ME less than 1. TE of 2. Mechanics are sticky. Optics are clear.
