Outstanding high condition Auto Ordnance, West Hurley Model 1928 Thompson with one 20 round Seymour magazine. This is the machine gun that even non-gun people recognize. The "A" suffix serial numbered guns are generally better made, with superior craftsmanship than "A" prefix guns. This model will accept both stick magazines and drum magazines equally well, an advantage over the military M1 and M1A1 Thompsons. Electronic NFA registry indicates “AUTO ORDNANCE” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent lustrous blue original finish on all metal parts including bullet logo (on top) Cutts compensator. Wood is near excellent with a couple slight handling marks. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. Magazine also near excellent. This is a select fire machine gun. A very attractive specimen in high condition for the person who wants an example of the Iconic American machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2024-12-64.
