Very well-accessorized British Mk II Sten with five original 32-round magazines, seven original 12-round (for use in India) magazines, one loading tool, one clip-on handgrip assembly, two shoulder loops, one detachable bayonet which snaps into the shoulder loop, and one web sling. Also included is a fine condition (rarely found this nice!) Sten Mark V parts kit, including fine condition barrel, wood stock assembly, and handgrip. Top of magazine housing retains clear “STEN MK II” with the underside of housing having the original serial number and “H. F & Co Ltd” manufacturer’s marking with broad arrow proof. The Sten MK II was manufactured in great numbers for WWII and is a very simple and straightforward machine gun made mostly of metal stampings. It was far less costly and quicker to produce than the previous models such as the Lanchester. The Sten machine gun found its way to every part of the British Empire, and to other countries as a reliable and compact machine gun that took commonly available ammunition. Electronic NFA registry indicates “WILSON, JAMES DBA WILSON ARMS CO” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish of gun is near excellent smooth gray finish upon remanufacture. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright, bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. Parts kit is fine to extremely fine with a barrel with a nice clean bright bore. This cataloger has seldom seen one of these kits this nice. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2024-12-59.
