Carl Gustav M/45 Swedish K machine gun with matching numbered barrel, shroud, and receiver with Swedish crown proofs. One original leather sling and three original 36-round magazines are included. This very effective and popular model was manufactured with a detachable magazine housing which enables this gun to use either the standard 36-round magazines or the 50-round “coffin” magazines. The M-45 was developed during World War II, but final development and adoption was at the end of the war and hence, the end-product was manufactured under peacetime conditions and, as a consequence, is of the highest quality fit and finish. Full-automatic-only operation with slotted receiver tube cut-out for bolt to be held to the rear as on the MP-40, side-folding wire-loop shoulder brace with rubber tubing to provide comfort to the firer much like the Madsen, and charging handle which doubles as a forward bolt lock in the manner of the Austen and other designs. Electronic NFA registry indicates “CALVARY CONSULTING” as the manufacturer. No evidence this gun was ever deactivated, and this cataloger cannot explain how this manufacturer appears associated to this gun in the NFATR. CONDITION: Absolutely superb original green painted finish. Gun could well be unissued. There is a ding on the left grip panel and some slight handling marks. Original rubber cheek protector on shoulder loop near excellent. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Sling is near excellent. Magazines are extremely fine original lustrous blue finish. Mechanics are crisp. This is a fully automatic only machine gun. The Swedish M/45 (Swedish K) was the standard submachine gun for Sweden from 1945 to 1965, and it is much admired and sought after as a recreational machine gun here in the United States. Many Vietnam veterans encountered this gun for the first time while in military service and were much taken with its handling and shooting qualities. Not to mention the convenience of unscrewing the barrel retention collar to easily remove the barrel for cleaning. Pretty fabulous specimen of one of the most sought after 9mm machine guns from the WWII era. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2024-12-51.
