Nice black enamel paint British Sten Mk II with original clip-on handgrip assembly with added folding shoulder loop from a Carl Gustav M45 (Swedish K). What a wonderful innovative idea for the recreational machine gun shooter! Serial number is on underside of magazine housing with “STEN MK II” marking on top of magazine housing. Two original 32-round magazines are included with this gun. The Sten MK II was manufactured in great numbers for World War II and is a very simple and straightforward machine gun made mostly of metal stampings. It was far less costly and quicker to produce than the previous models, such as the Lanchester. The Sten machine gun found its way to every part of the British Empire, and to other countries as a reliable and compact machine gun which took commonly available ammunition. Electronic NFA registry indicates “STEN” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is an extremely fine to near excellent black enamel paint finish as repainted upon fitting the shoulder loop to the handgrip. Bore is extremely fine with shiny rifling. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. Curio and Relic eligible original Sten guns are rather uncommon relative to the number “tube guns” there are out there. With the retrofitted shoulder loop, this specimen would be an attention getter at the range. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2024-12-50.
