Mounts are very good with some age related rubbing and chipping to edges; tsuba with heavy chipping and rubs, particularly about the rim. Tsuka-ito tight. Box is good with age related distress, and remnants of an old property label on side, possibly indicating that the sword was a trophy from World War II.
