Lot consists of: (A) German World War II M40 no decal helmet in a shell size marked "66" and lot number of "DV505". Shell retains almost all of its rough blue-gray paint, with light scrapes and scratches. Original liner has moderate wear. Drawstring is present. Zinc liner band with what appears to be undisturbed rivets. Chinstrap with steel fittings is present and exhibits a break, as it is secured by twine to one of the bales. The liner is marked in ink with information from the US veteran who captured the helmet. It appears to read "Gilman L. Erkel 6518 / Bad Godesburg / Germany / 3/15/45" CONDITION: Very good. (B) Japanese World War II type 90 helmet. The shell retains a nice amount of its original wartime paint and displays several blemishes from service use as well as oxidation and rust. Both rivets are present as well as the star. The liner is present and missing the center drawstring. The “pillows” behind the three leather liner tongues remain filled but are flattened. The fabric chin strap is bundled with diaper pins. CONDTION: Good. (C) East German M56/76 helmet with cover tucked inside liner. CONDITION: Very good.
