The gun is a 1918 produced US Army .45 and features the wide spur hammer, long triggers, bevel edge u-notch rear sight, proper H-P stamped barrel, small front sight, flat main spring housing with loop, checkered slide stop and safety. The Colt features full coverage bank note scroll and punch dot back ground engraving. The gun is nickel plated with gold wash small parts and magazine. Silver grips with gold appliques. ( not signed or hall marked) The Colt legends on left side of slide and Model of 1911 U.S.ARMY are still sharp. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains virtually all of the custom finish with light handling. Bore is crisp but frosted. Stunning pistol that has little to no room for any more engraving.
