Manufactured in 1862. All matching numbers except wedge, which is not numbered. Standard features include an octagon barrel, brass straps, aftermarket burl walnut grips. All major parts are hand engraved in American scroll with a punchdot background. The cylinder is engraved, and no naval scene is present. Barrel has the New York Colt legend. Frame has the "Colt's Patent". CONDITION: Excellent as embellished. Engraving is not of the period but finely done and quite precise. Metal was left in the white and shows some oxidation. All legends and edges are crisp. Rifling is well defined but does show some abrasion.
