Manufactured in 1906. Features include long slide, knurled slide serrations, half moon blade front sight, rounded "u" notch rear sight, rounded hammer, blue finish, and Mother of Pearl grips. Left side of slide is marked "'BROWNING'S PATENT' / APR. 20.1897 SEPT 9.1902" toward muzzle and "COLT'S PATENT FIRE ARMS MFG. CO. / HARTFORD. CONN. U.S.A." toward hammer, with a Rampant Colt in a circle on rear of slide. Right side of slide is marked "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" behind ejection port and "MODEL 1902" in front of ejector port. Accompanied by an oak partitioned case with blue velvet liner, Remington UMC box of period cartridges, and reproduction label. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining a vast majority of the original bright blue factory finish light wear at high edges and muzzle. Grips are in matching condition with no major cracks. Magazine is difficult to remove. Mechanically fine. Bore is lightly frosted with crisp rifling. Case has warping to the lid and split on right side. An attractive set.
