Chopper lump barrels with bead front sight and engraved "AYA ~ Aguirre & Aranzabal ~ MADE IN SPAIN" at rear of rib. Dressed with leaf-and-dart engraving and acanthus scroll over the chambers. Underside of barrels with N.E. Custom Gun Service import marking and Spanish proofs for a nitro prooved 28 gauge with 70mm chambers (2 - 3/4") and a nominal 13.9 IBD at 1320 BAR. Splinter forearm with reinforced Anson release, engraved with scroll on the exterior, with matching serial numbers on interior iron and stamped in wood. Boxlock action with Art Noveau style florals and acanthus scroll, signed "AYA Aguirre & Aranzabal" on both sides, and with Spanish proofs on water table. Blued flat bottom trigger guard with dual triggers, automatic safety with "S" inlaid ahead of slide. Wave grained walnut stock with point pattern checkering about the wrist, checkered butt with added section of skate tape for traction, and fit with a German silver vanity plaque on toe line. With pair snapcaps. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain virtually all of their bluing with some scattered handling marks and some superficial scratches. Stocks excellent with scattered handling marks and impressions. Engraving crisp. Mechnically fine, bores excellent with some firing residue. Ejectors are strong and in time.
