These shotguns were made in Japan for Winchester as a revival of the famous Parker DHE shotguns. Dovetail lump barrels built with a brass mushroom bead front sight on a wide concave rib with machine-cut matting and a square rib extension. With "Parker Reproduction by Winchester - 28 GAUGE. 2 3/4" East Alton IL. U.S.A." on left tube, "MADE IN JAPAN" on right, more discrete. Barrel flats with Parker Repro overload proof, Winchester "PW" proof, matching serial number, choke designations, and "00" designation on lump. Splinter forearm with Deely latch release, exterior iron case colored and engraved with thin floral scroll. Interior iron with matching serial number. Case colored boxlock action with classic pointer and pheasant engraving, action flats with "DHE", serial number, and scoop lightening. Single selective trigger with selector switch abutting bow on left side. Automatic safety with "SAFE" ahead of slide. Nicely figured walnut stock built with sidepanels, teardrops, and two panels of modified point pattern checkering about the pistol grip wrist. Hard rubber pistol grip cap, brass vanity oval on toe line, and skeleton buttplate with border scrollwork. In leather wrapped case with leather tabs lined in foliage green with Parker Reproduction trade label in lid, and with accessories comprising pair keys, snapcaps, and Parker Reproduction square oil bottle. With canvas slip. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels with virtually all of their factory bluing, with some very minor handling marks, shop wear or equivalent. Stocks excellent with sharp checkering and some minor scattered marks; most offensive a small grouping on right side of forearm. Action excellent with virtually all of the case color remaining, silvering at the sharpest edges. Mechanically fine, bores excellent, ejectors are strong and in time. Case fine. A top notch example in a great size.
