This was part of a contract from Walther for the Swedish military, beginning in 1939 until the World War II broke out. Often referred to as a Pre P-38. Approximately 1500 guns were made. This serial number falls into correct range. It is finished in a commercial high polish blue with checkered black plastic grips. Inside each panel is proofed with four mold marks including a small circle with "CEWE", "480", "V7/Z3" and a number "1". The magazine is number 1781. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains at least 90%+ bright blue with scattered minor handling marks and minor high edge holster wear. Grips are excellent. Bore is bright.
