Manufactured in 1951. Bolt has etched matching number. In Roger Rule's book, the last year he has listed for a carbine in 7mm Mauser is 1941. In his 1947 list, the 7mm carbine is listed as discontinued. The 1950 lists the 7mm in rifle only and this caliber is not even listed in 1952 list. Given that it is not listed in 1951 as available, one could conjecture that this carbine was assembled using a barrel found in inventory or was a made to order gun. In either case, a post-war 7mm carbine is a true rarity. Features a matte finish blue frame, blued barrel, hooded ramp front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, oil-finished walnut stock with checkered pistol grip and forend, straight comb, blue checkered steel butt plate, and swivels. The Winchester barrel legends are crisp. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains virtually all its finish with some light handling marks. There is a ghost image of a scope block being present at one time on the rear bridge. The wood is superb. Bore is bright.
