Three part sliding forearm with recessed finger groove and point pattern checkering, with exterior iron blued, pins gold washed, and engraved with acanthus en suite. Barrels with "*" and "*-" choke codes for Full over Improved Modified. Boxlock action engraved in the classic Midas pattern by Lewanczyk, with left side of frame depicting a trio of relief gold pheasants taking off from a meadow, bottom with a solitary gold grouse coming out of a bush, and right side depicting a trio of gold mallards departing a marsh. The birds are supported by well cut acanthus scroll with gold wirework surrounding the vignettes on left and right, with hatch shading and stippled background. Trigger guard engraved en suite, with golden initials "GDC" in relief. Lewanczyk signed the work on the left side, at the rear of the reciever. Crotch feather walnut stock with gorgeous figure built with sidepanels and modified point and wave checkering about the wrist. Brown Browning waffle pad with black and whiteline spacers. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of the factory bluing, with some minor handling marks. Some gentle silvering at reciprocating areas, such as where forearm slideas along bottom barrel. Engraving is crisp and well cut, and the gold work is quite good. Stock excellent with some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine, bores very good with some carbon fouling from use, ejectors are strong and in time.
