The Serpentine Series was a set of three revolvers, a Python, King Cobra, and Anaconda, offered together in 1994 with a special "Serpentine Series of 1994" rollmark on the left side of the barrel. This example is one of the Pythons, and is in the classic 6" configuration of the snake gun, with vent rib, orange insert front sight, square notch adjustable rear, and full lug. Special features include aforementioned "Serpentine..." rollmark and a small "1 OF 50" located just above the trigger. Colt pebble textured rubber grips. Housed in a blue plastic Colt case with factory paperwork. Accompanied by a factory letter which indicates this gun shipped as a 6" stainless Python with wraparound rubber grips with silver Colt medallions, shipped to Glenn Zanders Fur and Sporting Goods, Baldwin, Illinois. Discretely import stamped inside the yoke for Simpson. CONDITION: Excellent. With distension still visible about legends from application of stamp. Some scattered handling marks typical to stainless finish, and a light turn line. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong well defined rifling and some mild firing residue. Case fine. These are among the rarest of all snake guns.
