Only 1002 of these Ball patent carbines made by Lamson & Co. of Vermont. Features a round blued barrel, post front sight, folding leaf rear sight, case colored frame, barrel bands, lever, exposed hammer, and butt plate. Sports fire blue screws with a saddle ring and bar. Walnut stock and forearm. Stock has a bold "GGS" cartouche for George Saunders. The Lamson legend is found on the left side of frame. CONDITION: Excellent. Appears unissued. The stocks barely have a ding or impression. Nearly 95% case colors including the butt plate. The barrel blue is also nearly all present with a hint of muzzle wear and some patina bleeding through. Bore is bright. Still has the original metal rod. Nearly impossible to improve on.
