Records show that only 320 of these Sharps factory shotguns were made between 1854-1856. Round barrel, sighting groove on frame, and a simple brass bead front sight. Sharps Rifle Hartford barrel legend on top at breech. Sharps patent legends at top of frame and on right side lock. The butt plate is brass with a pewter forearm tip. Walnut stock and forearm. CONDITION: Fine. The barrel is a smooth brown patina. The case colors have patterned to various shades. The stock is solid, proud to metal, with small chip at toe and sundry impressions and light scratches. The forearm has similar dings and impressions. All metal is butter smooth. Bore is mirror bright. Super clean and seldom seen.
