It is believed that only 1,000 of these two shot rifled muskets were manufactured by J.P. Lindsay of New York from 1863-1864. Its unique feature is the two hammer system using only a single trigger. All metal was finished in the white. The Lindsay patent legend is at breech forward of hammers. Features three barrel bands, metal rod, post front sight, two leaf folding rear sight, swivels and a near full length walnut stock. Butt plate is stamped "US" with U stamp on each band. The left side of stock has two bold cartouche stamps. Both are "ADK" for Andrew D. King. CONDITION: Excellent. Appears almost unissued. All metal is bright showing light oxidation with few dings at breech. All legends are sharp. Stock is superb showing only minor dings with two longer marks on left side near breech. Bore is strong and bright. Nipples appear unfired. Would be nearly impossible to find a nicer example.

CORRECTION: There is a crack on the right side of the wrist.
