Manufactured in 1911 per Madis. This classically configured saddle ring carbine is fitted with a blued nickel steel round barrel with full length magazine tube retained by a pair of barrel bands. Tall, pinned blade front sight and 3-position express rear sight. Polished blue receiver with saddle ring. Case hardened hammer and lever. Plain oiled walnut carbine forend and stock with steel carbine butt plate. CONDITION: Excellent, near new overall. 99% factory blue is retained on the barrel and magazine tube with a few light marks. Receiver has a few small flakes to brown as well a few small dings on the right side along with some other scattered marks. Strong muted case colors are preserved on the hammer and lever. Bountiful amounts of light nitre blue displayed on the loading gate. Stocks retain their original surfaces with mild handling marks and some impressions on the forend. Even the butt plate retains nearly all of its factory finish with some fading near the heel. Excellent, mirror bore showing little if any use. Fine mechanics. A fantastic example of an iconic Winchester.
