Manufactured circa 1914. Fitted with a blued nickel steel carbine length barrel with full length magazine tube retained by a pair of barrel bands. Tall pinned blade front sight and ladder rear. Solid frame with saddle ring. Standard walnut carbine forend. Scarce special order uncheckered pistol grip stock with hard rubber WRACO grip cap and carbine butt plate. Lower tang is stamped with "784 CF" assembly number and custom fit designation. Matching "784" assembly numbers also stamped on the butt underneath the butt plate and on the underside of the butt plate. CONDITION: Very good for its age. Barrel and magazine tube retain the vast majority of their factory blue, some fading to gray patina on the bands. Receiver has some high edge carry wear and other losses. Lever and hammer case colors have largely faded to a light patina with some patterning. Stocks fit very well with impressions throughout, some rather deep. A small hairline split and light chipping present near the upper tang. Good, bright bore. Fine mechanics.
