Originally manufactured in 1915, this example has been expertly restored to the quality and appearance associated with Turnbull Restorations. Rifle is fitted with a blued nickel steel tapered round barrel chambered for the highly desirable .405 Winchester cartridge. Lyman front sight and sporting rear, a No. 21 "climbing" Lyman rear aperture sight also fitted to the takedown receiver. Plain walnut splinter forend with ebony inlaid Schnabel tip and barrel mounted forward sling eye. Straight grip walnut stock with rear sling eye and case hardened crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Excellent as professionally restored. Nearly all of the expertly reapplied blue is retained throughout with minor rubs from working the action and a few scattered handling marks. Nearly all of the bright case colors are likewise retained on hammer and butt plate, the hammer slowing mild wear on the sides. Stocks are excellent with only a few tiny impressions. Strong, well defined bore with some firing residue. Crisp mechanics.
