Manufactured in 1852. This pocket model features all matching serial numbers including wedge and lever. The roll die cylinder scene features the stage coach hold up. The octagon barrel is high polish blue with two line New York Colt legend. The case color frame is stamped "Colt's Patent". The brass straps are silver plated with aged one piece ivory grips. Screws are fire blue, case colored lever and hammer. The period case features a small eagle flask, a two cavity brass Colt mold, an Eley Bro. cap tin with some original paper label on sides. CONDITION: Excellent. The barrel retains about 95% bright blue, strong barrel legends, some high edge wear and some minor marks where wedge was removed. The cylinder shows flashes of blue with a near perfect scene. Frame colors are present showing some dulling color with balance a grey patina. Straps retain approximately 80% plating. The screw heads still show some bright blue. The grips are toned and fit most precisely. Action works fine. Bore is bright.
