Manufactured in 1867, the second year production. These were produced between serial number 12476 and 15500. Early features include the flat side frame with Henry drop, flat blue loading gate plate, and the Henry King patent barrel legend. Standard features include the front barrel band with integral sight, folding small ladder rear sight, saddle ring with stud, walnut stock with brass trap door rifle butt plate, and a matching forearm. On inside of left tang is the serial number with 1627 assembly number. The butt plate has matching last four digit serial number. The walnut stock is not numbered, is shy to metal and was either refinished or replaced at one time, but is an original Henry stock. The forearm is also shy to metal. The barrel legend is only partially visible. CONDITION: Very good. The hammer and lever are grey patina with no color. Barrel and tube are a soft homogenous smooth patina with some age freckling. Brass frame is nicely toned with some minor dings. The lower butt plate screw is a replacement. The action works correctly. The bore is well defined with usual light abrasion.
