Excellent high condition Finnish Lahti anti-tank gun on its distinctive ski bipod with 10 magazines in 6 original metal hinged magazine carriers, both original gunner’s kit boxes (which seem just about complete with two loading blocks), four piece brass cleaning rod, spanner, combination brass hammer/spanner, broken case extractor, spare firing pin and spring, 20mm brush, and numerous small parts all fitted into a metal covered parts box. Also included are numerous spare charging crank handles, 7 complete and ready to use, 3 more which need to have their (included) aluminum knobs attached, plus 5 more handles which do not have aluminum knobs. Large muzzle brake with sheet metal cover, slide-on rubber shoulder pad, and 4 canvas covered carrying pads are also included with this lot as well as original crate stenciled, “INTERARMCO”, and a custom made wooden box for the bipod/ski assembly, which is present as well. Manufactured at the Finnish State Rifle Factory “VKT”, it is marked “20pst.kiv/39” with typical “SA” marking above SN on left side of receiver. Barrel is "VKT" marked and numbered 4045. Designed in 1939, these anti-tank guns were not available in any quantity until the war with the Soviet Union in 1941. They were effective and useful against vehicles and light tanks, as well as in long-range sniper and bunker destruction roles. Exceedingly well made, the smooth crank-to-cock action make them tremendously fun to shoot as recreational pieces. Electronic NFA registry indicates "LAHTI" as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish near excellent original lustrous blue finish. Wooden furnishings are extremely fine to near excellent with some handling marks. Near excellent hard black rubber on shoulder rest. Magazines and carriers are extremely fine. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. These 20mm anti-tank rifles are a sought-after recreational firearm in the United States, and ammunition it still generally available and some recreational shooters reload the cases. This is a fine opportunity for the collector who wants a finely made 20mm rifle from WWII. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
