Lakota tobacco bag, ca. 1885-1900. White beaded field on a ochre pigment rubbed upper body of Indian tanned buckskin. Geometric designs in light blue, medium blue, red, pink, medium green, light green, and silver and gold faceted beads above a panel of dyed red porcupine quills and green dyed fringe. CONDITION: Very good and supple.
