Extremely attractive and sought after Harrington & Richardson M-14 select-fire machine gun battle rifle, remanufactured and registered fully transferable for private ownership by “FLEMING FIREARMS INC, COLLINSVILLE, OK”, as marked on left side of the receiver. The top of the receiver is stamped "U.S. RIFLE/ 7.62 MM M14/ H.&R. ARMS CO" above the serial number. Barrel has military drawing number and is dated 12-61. Attractive brown wood buttstock with flip-up shoulder plate, and brown composite handguard. "SA" marked bolt assembly. No magazine present but these are readily available. Electronic NFA registry indicates, “FLEMING, WILLIAM DBA FLEMING FIREARMS” as the manufacturer. PROVENANCE: From the machine gun collection of William “Happiness is a Warm Machine Gun” Fleming. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is fine to extremely fine original blue finish on some components with a gas cylinder a gray patina and the receiver also a gray patina in the charging handle groove. There is some “case hardening” kind of finish from heating and rewelding the receiver incidental to remanufacture, but this cataloger finds this appearance rather attractive. Wood stock is extremely fine with light handling marks and a green sticker at bottom of grip indicating “2011”. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. This is a select-fire machine gun. Just a great example of the U.S. military rifle designed to be a box magazine version of the M1 Garand, and also intended to be able to fulfill the role of the Browning automatic rifle in a pinch in the late 1950s and into the 1960s. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2025-09-110.
