Police Ordnance Company of Los Angeles, California manufactured Ingram Model 6 machine gun. The top of receiver is stamped "INGRAM PATENTS PENDING/ POLICE ORDNANCE COMPANY/ LOS ANGELES, CALIF. U.S.A./ M6 POLICE, CAL. .45 A.C.P." above the serial number The selector is marked "SAFE", "AUTO", and "SEMI". The rear sight is unmarked. The left side of the buttstock has the remnants of a circular sticker. This model resembles the profile of a Thompson machine gun with a vertical forend, pistol grip, and barrel with cooling fins. One original 30 round magazine is included with this gun. Electronic NFA registry indicates “INGRAM” as the manufacturer. PROVENANCE: From the machine gun collection of William “Happiness is a Warm Machine Gun” Fleming. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent original lustrous factory finish with some mottling at the top of the receiver. Magazine finish also near excellent. Wood is extremely fine to near excellent with some slight handling marks. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. A very attractive example of an uncommon Police Ordnance Company M6 Police submachine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2025-09-103.
