The is an original U.S. Super Bazooka, model M20. Markings on the left side of the tube are, “LR 3.5 UK M20 / NO A0542 / M47C 1952”. This is a real veteran from the Korean war. The 3.5" super bazooka was developed at the end of, and fielded after, World War II. It saw extensive service in Korea and into Vietnam. This specimen is one of very few intact original specimens registered for private ownership in the United States. The M20 bazooka tube is in two interlocking parts, so that it can be easily transported and very quicky snapped together when needed. It is clear from the two different colors of paint on this specimen that these pieces are completely interchangeable from piece to piece. Bazookas are essentially a metal tube which holds a rocket which, in this case, has an trigger which actuates a magneto (just like Wiley Coyote’s blasting machine), which send an electrical charge through a wire which runs along the bottom of the bazooka tube to where it would be attached to a rocket that has been loaded into the back of the tube. There is a bail (essentially a giant trigger guard) protecting the handgrip which has a simple safety on the left side. There is a monopod about 10" to the rear which serves as the front base to a shoulder rest. This weapon is not as heavy as one might think. There is a flip-out sight glass on the left side which articulates up and down to adjust for range with a graduated scale plate fixed to the mounting plate. Very straightforward and simple, and history has demonstrated, very effective too! Electronic NFA registry indicates, “RUSSIAN FEDERATION” as the manufacturer (?!). This can be requested to be corrected at the BATF. PROVENANCE: From the machine gun collection of noted William “Happiness is a Warm Machine Gun” Fleming. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine original green painted finish with a few to more moderate scuff marks about the shoulder rest. Bakelite of grip handle is extremely fine. Trigger actuates properly with a satisfying snap. Electrical wire is intact in its protective tubing with about a 9” section of the tubing missing missing about the monopod (the wire is intact). The bore is extremely fine. The sight glass which flips out from the left side is intact, clear and serviceable. Spring loaded retention catch at the top rear of the tube is strong and serviceable. This cataloger would not hesitate to take this out to the range and fire it. This is a rare opportunity to become the owner of an American icon. Which of us has not played with “Green Army Men” as a child, and noted the bazooka figure. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS A "DESTRUCTIVE" DEVICE”. Based upon how this piece appears in the electronic NFA registry, it may also be Curio and Relic eligible, but no warranty as to that. JWK 2025-09-132.
