Popular American 180 machine gun with accessories, including carry case, three 220 round magazines, winder, E&L loading stand, and E&L loading tray. The gun itself has walnut furnishings, including a horizontal forend. This gun utilizes a neat magazine system which incorporates a detachable hand-wound spring device to rotate the drum on a steel plate which brings the rounds within the magazine in-line to feed into the gun. When these are fired, the sound has been likened to that of a sewing machine, with the spray of bullets likened to a swarm of angry bees. The sights are at a high profile in order to be above the pan magazine when it is emplaced on the gun. There is a knurled knob at the underside of the receiver which allows for the removal of the barrel. This is a nice feature as it allows this gun to be disassembled for ease of transport in a very compact package as wells as making the parts more accessible for cleaning. Cocking handle is on the left side, safety on the right side. Selector switch is a push-button reminiscent of the MP43/MP44. This was manufactured in Salt lake City, Utah, and is so marked on the underside of the receiver. Electronic NFA registry indicates “AMERICAN ARMS INTERNATIONAL” as the manufacturer. This American 180 was Tuned & Tested by E&L Manufacturing in 2013, with the following upgrade parts installed: American 180 select fire bolt, bolt spring, sear return spring, safety shaft, and 14" heavy barrel finned for heat dissipation and threaded at muzzle if fitting of a silencer is desired. with the invoice documenting this, including the serial number of the gun, included. A print-out of test fire performed by E & L manufacturing at that time included with this lot indicates 54 rounds fired in 2.060 seconds for a rate of 1543 rounds per minute. Gun is unfired since then. Consignor states this is a one-owner gun. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is a near excellent deep lustrous blued finish on barrel and black anodized finish on the aluminum parts with black hardcoat on upper part of the receiver, with handling marks throughout. Anodizing on aluminum parts shows carry wear throughout. This is a select-fire machine gun. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Just a great recreational machine gun with accessories which make it even more attractive. One of the best .22 LR machine guns. A copy of the original ATF transfer form from when the consignor purchased this gun new in 1986 is included with this lot. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2025-09-162.
