Classic WWII collectible Auto Ordnance, Bridgeport manufactured Thompson M1A1 machine gun with grey-green finish. Marked “U.S. Property” behind the rear sight, with Thompson bullet logo forward of the sight and typical M1A1 markings with inspector marking on left side of receiver, as well as “P” proof at top of smooth barrel. “SCHI” marking on underside just forward of the magazine well, and “SAA” with “P” within a square on the buttstock. Gun includes four 30 round magazines, two of which are still new-in-wrapper, and an original No BuckL sling. Electronic NFA registry indicates “AUTO ORDNANCE” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent matte arsenal refinish some slight loss of finish around the edges of where the forend iron meets the upper receiver. Especially attractive wood furnishings with some slight handling marks. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face with fixed firing pin is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp and positive. This is a select fire machine gun. An especially attractive M1A1 for the discerning WW2 collector. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
