High condition and desirable Colt AR-15 SP1 machine gun with 16 - 1/4” barrel, birdcage flash hider, round handguards, and telescoping stock. This is a registered receiver machine gun. Typical Colt markings with “AR-15” on magazine well with “SP” prefix serial number. No magazine present. Selector markings are “Safe”, “Fire”, and the full-auto position has been neatly engraved “AUTO”. Electronic NFA registry indicates “COLT” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with some slight handling marks overall. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. An American classic. It is essentially a Colt M16 as a lightweight, compact package. A very desirable machine gun.
