Yugoslavian Model 49/57 machine gun with four original 30 round magazines and one 30 round PpSh magazine. Externally very similar in outward appearance to the Russian PPSh-41 machine gun, and it does take Russian PpSh magazines and drums. It is actually quite different internally, and is unusual with a left side ejector port. An excellent informative video on this model gun is at https://www.forgottenweapons.com/yugoslavias-ppsh-lookalike-the-m49-57/. This Yugoslavian gun combines a lot of very good features from other guns and contains many milled steel parts as opposed to metal stampings. It features a quick release easily removable barrel, a bolt handle which may be removed from the side incidental to withdrawing the bolt out of the rear of the receiver tube, and has a small diameter mainspring on a removable shaft at the rear of receiver cup. The selector within the trigger guard is similar to that of the PPSh, but the safety is a large button just forward of the trigger guard. Electronic NFA registry indicates “IMPORTED NFA FIREARM“ in the manufacturer’s block. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent lustrous and matte blue refinish with some slight pitting visible under the finish. Wood is extremely fine with light handling marks. Bore is fine with shine showing through the firing residue. Bolt face extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. A very fine shooting machine gun, and rather rare model not often encountered. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE ONLY TO ACTIVE FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 BUT MAY BE RETAINED BY SOLE PROPRIETOR FFL/SOT HOLDERS WHEN THEY RELINQUISH THEIR LICENSES UPON BATF APPROVAL.
