Very attractive gray blue finish Harrington and Richardson Reising Model 50 machine gun with 14 fin barrel and compensator. One original 20 round lustrous blue finish magazine, and two adapted 30 round higher capacity magazines are included with this lot. “P” proofmark on top of chamber with clear lettering throughout. This smooth gray finish is particularly attractive, as is the wood on this gun. This was not a combat used gun, although the Model 50 was fielded in limited numbers to the Marine corps during WWII. Firing from a closed bolt gave an advantage to the firer over the Thompson, which fires from an open bolt. Electronic NFA Registry indicates, “HARRINGTON AND RICHARDSON” in the manufacturer’s block. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original smooth gray-blue refinish, but this is an occasion where this cataloger has to look close with a light and magnifying glass to discern such. Wood is extremely attractive with a rich light brown color, with only the slightest light handling marks. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2025-09-240.
