By Whitall-Tatum & Co. Circa 1890 porcelain No. 1 Phenix Emulsifier complete with porcelain tub, galvanized beaters, cast iron base, metal handle, crank, gear, and tin lid. Hand-turned mixer used to emulsify solid drugs. Sold by Whitall-Tatum Co and made by the J.H. Day Co. Two-gallon capacity. In original black paint with gold trim. Some loss of finish on metal lid.
