Circa 1850 to 1880. Five round salt mouth and one round tincture clear glass druggist bottles. White surface-mounted glass labels with gold outer trim and black letters. Labels were glued directly to the jar until the 1860s when W.N. Walton received a patent for recessed glass labels. The recessed label gradually replaced these surface-mounted labels because they provided better protection from damage. Minor chipping to labels. Labels read: OL. OLIVAE OP., LAVAND. FLOR., BACCAELAURI, PV. ASAFOET., PV. GALLAE, and R. GALANGAE.

Condition: (Excellent).

Item Dimensions: Largest: 10" T.
LOT OF 6: GLASS LABEL DRUGGIST SHOP BOTTLES.
