Poison bottles were ribbed to "protect patients from danger of mistake both night and day -- by the touch as well as by sight -- in the use of poisonous preparations" (Whitall-Tatum 1880 catalog). Two 6" "Prescription 1000 External" bottles. One 6" hexagonal poison bottle embossed "Not to be Taken". One 4" poison bottle embossed "Not to be Taken." Smallest bottle with no markings.
