OUTSTANDING PEMBERTON'S WINE COCA ORIGINAL BOTTLE

An outstanding example of this c. 1880s bottle with embossed lettering reading Pemberton's Wine Coca. This early medicinal concoction was the beverage that would go on to become Coca-Cola in 1886. This bottle is accompanied with an 1868 newspaper advertisement from The Rome Georgia Courier, which shows an early Pemberton medicinal advertisement. Also included is a May 1886 (the year Coca-Cola debuted) newspaper advertisement from the Augusta Georgia Chronicle, showing a portrait of Pemberton with a favorable testimony. Lastly included is a publication from the Atlanta Police Department in 1898, which shows an early Coca-Cola advertisement on page 26, and French Wine Coca advertisement on page 28. An outstanding collection of early Coca-Cola ephemera and history. CONDITION: The bottle is clean with no damage or wear to note. The newspapers show light yellowing and tattering around the edges. The booklet shows wear to the cover, with a few loose pages inside.
